The Candida Spit Test is a pretty gross thing to undertake. You get up and very first thing have to work up a good spit and spit it into a glass full of good old H2O. Following this you must observe how it reacts to the water for about an hour.

It is a pretty harmless test the Candida Spit Test, however while many people swear by it, there is no substantiated proof that it is a clinically sound method.

As a matter of interest I have done this test a couple of times with varying results. It is relevant to note that I do not have an issue with Candida or a yeast infection, and as such should get a negative result every time I do a Candida Spit Test. First test indicated that I was in fact in good health. However on two other samples there were some negative signs. Once again there is absolutely no reason for there to be any indication that I have an issue with a candida overgrowth.

It is not so much that I want to scare you away from taking a Candida Spit Test, the reality is its a pretty harmless thing to do. My point is more about creating an awareness that it is not the most reliable of tests.

So here is what you do;

Fill up a glass full of water and pop it some where that you will see as soon as you get up and before you get into your morning routine. You must use a glass that is clear. You will be observing through that glass.

Then have yourself a good nights sleep.

So when you wake up the very first thing you need to do is work up a good spit, and the second thing is drop it into that glass. Play nicely, don’t try to make a game out of this.

Now take a quick look at what happens just so that when you come back you can see what has changed. Then onto the morning rituals.

Over the course of the next hours you should see what is happening to the saliva in your Candida Spit Test. Do this at 15 minute intervals.

There are a couple of things you might see that are supposed to indicate that you have Candida Albicans Overgrowth. But first I will cover off what is supposed to indicate a healthy candida spit test result. Saliva that stays on top of the water but eventually dissipates into the water, is a good sign

It might be that your spit does not dissipate, but either creates a cloud in the water or appear to be like string, or even just drop to the bottom. Lastly there could be spots remaining floating in the water.

If any of this does show up, then your Candida Spit Test is positive and it means that you have too much Candida in your system. If these symptoms have shown up very quickly then this is meant to be an even stronger positive.

Certainly there will be many results that are accurate and will confirm or deny a problem with Candida Overgrowth. I simply recommend that you take the results with a grain of salt.

Accepting that your results may well be positive, use that information in the right manner and that is to go to the next level of getting advice from a doctor. Sure do your candida spit test, but don’t put to much emphasis on its results.

The other thing to do is to start taking a good hard look at the foods you eat. In most cases of Candida Albicans Overgrowth, regardless of the spark that lit the fire, there is usually an underlying food issue.
